A Surprise Engagement on Campus

Tufts University, Medford MA

It was such an honor to be asked to document this surprise engagement! I love every one of them that I’ve been able to photograph! This one was very special and happened just outside of Boston right on the Tufts University campus President’s lawn.

Both Kofi & Raquel are Tufts undergraduate alumni and made a plan to fly out to meet up with a good friend of theirs and have some fun!

Raquel didn’t know this, but Kofi made it an even bigger plan! He was going to ask his love to marry him in front of some more of their good friends and family.

Let the scheming begin!

The couple strolled across the lawn casually enjoying the fresh air. Raquel was looking forward to catching up with their friend.

She looks ahead, and not only does she see her friend, but a few more of them! THEN she sees her SISTERS!!!!!

A few of these people even flew in from the west coast to witness this moment!

The couple makes their way up the hill and suddenly Raquel comes to a screeching halt. Kofi put the trust in us to set up a little table with some flowers and stand guard around that patented blue box some of us know so well.

With all their family and friends standing by, Kofi got down on one knee and asked for his love’s hand in marriage.

It was so special and intimate, planned to perfection!

Special moments like these are rare. These two went back to where they met, surrounded by almost all their favorite people and to ask the woman of your dreams to be a part of your life forever. I’m so excited for them and wish them all the happiness the world can give!
