A Surprise Engagement | Sambhav & Shreya

This particular session is one that I am absolutely thrilled to share with you all! It was a couple’s photo shoot turned surprise engagement that had me smiling the whole way through! Shreya was the first to contact me to schedule a photoshoot, and together we came up with a plan that included a few beautiful locations in Rhode Island and stunning outfits to match!

Once it was all set up, I was contacted by Sambhav who decided to throw a plot twist into our little game plan. And the next thing I knew, we had worked out a plan for a proposal that would turn this couples session into a surprise engagement shoot!

How exciting?!

Like most of us would be, the now bride to be was “deer in the headlights” at first and caught off guard by this. But once the reality set in, these two were all smiles the rest of the shoot. It just took a creative turn for the better!

What a love story to tell!

The 2 locations that we shot at were the Blithwold, The Van Wickle County Place 1894 – 1976 in Bristol Rhode Island, and Cliffwalk National Recreation Trail in Newport Rhode Island.

The overcast skies provided the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous session. And the property had a ton of perfect spots to get some great shots at. Shreya looked beautiful and her happiness was written all over her face!

Then, the moment arrived; as Shreya was looking out into the water, Sambhav got down on one knee behind her. Thinking to myself “just breathe,” even though I knew this was coming, the anticipation was so real!
